Scenario:
I have used webpart export option a lot in 2007 , but while working on one of SP2010 project I found that this option is missing for few webpart.
Solution:
Actually it is not missing. Microsoft has made it hidden by default.
So if you follow the steps below, you can get the option back.
Steps:
1. Edit the webpart
2. Under Advanced Settings look for Export option
3. Change the option to Export All
4. Save the webpart configuration and you have the option back in place now
Note:
This technique may not work for all the webparts. i.e. ListView webpart doesn't support Export

I'm having this problem with the export feature, on this one list.
Found your tip, but when I go into the advance area of the web part. I don't even have the check box to check/uncheck for allowing exporting.
same here. Don't see a checkbox
Actually most of the webparts does show a checkbox. Which webpart you are trying to export ?
Same problem here. I'm trying to export an Agenda web part from a meeting workspace.
Agenda is a ListView Webpart and ListView Webpart can't be exported. Option is to use SPD and convert ListView WP > DataView WP, then you will be able to...
It's actually Edit WebPart Properties -> Advanced ->Export Mode (dropdown)
Select 'Non sensitive' or 'Export all data' from the dropdown and Apply the chnages. You should see Export.. option now!
it worked for my custom web part, thanks man!
Ive a custom list datasheet view and I have tried everything to change this option, I have to open in SP designer to get options and I only have
Appearance
Layout
Advanced
And it is not in any of them options.
